Ultrasonic imaging by Bragg-type acoustooptical interaction for application to nondestructive testing
Abstract
The paper shows how a test facility of ultrasound imaging by acoustooptical interaction allows visualization of the interior of metallic parts by means of real-time transparencies. The discussion covers the mechanism of imaging by Bragg diffraction, design of the imaging test facility, and experimental results in terms of image formation, resolving power, and application to other studies.
