Atmospheric dispersion parameters in Gaussian plume modeling. Part 1: Review of current systems and possible future developments
Abstract
A recapitulation of the Gaussian plume model is presented and Pasquill's technique of assessing the sensitivity of this model is given. A number of methods for determining dispersion parameters in the Gaussian plume model are reviewed. Comparisons are made with the Pasquill Gifford curves presently used. Improved methods resulting from recent investigations are discussed.
