A versatile CCD analog transversal filter with floating clock electrode sensors
Abstract
A monolithic bipolar/MOS floating clock electrode sensor (FCES) circuit at each tap location in a serial-in/parallel-out (SI/PO) CCD is described. Distortion measurements at a single tap are presented. A versatile analog transversal filter is formed by weighting the tapped outputs with a user-selectable set of weights. The performance of a 20 stage transversal filter with tap outputs weighted according to a Hamming function is described. Finally, several systems applications of the CCD SI/PO chip are presented.
