Measurement-monitoring system for carrying out hyperthermal procedures
Abstract
The paper describes a temperature measuring system to be used as part of a procedure of artificial hyperthermia for the treatment of cancerous tissues. Semiconductor microthermoresistor temperature probes are used to measure body temperature and the temperature of the heat-carrying fluid (water). The system also involves the monitoring of arterial blood pressure, systolic and diastolic pressure, respiration rate, and heart rate. The system can operate in three modes: cyclic continuous, cyclic single and address.
