Temperature fields and stresses in multidimensional bodies and shells
Abstract
An approximate analytical method is presented for solving boundary value problems of unsteady heat conduction in convex multidimensional bodies bounded by Liapunov surfaces, with variable internal heat-sources for given unsteady temperature conditions of the ambient medium. Thermal-stress concentrations and symmetrical and nonsymmetrical temperature distributions are determined for the surface of a cone, an ellipsoid, a cylindrical body with a triangular cross section, a flat plate, and cylindrical and spherical shells under thermal shock.
