Solving nonlinear heat equations
Abstract
Analysis of solutions to nonlinear heat conduction problems, obtained by various investigators, shows that their use for practical purposes is associated with extensive computational labor and high costs due to computer time. In the present paper, a time saving method for obtaining such solutions is proposed and is applied, as an example, to the problem of determining the distribution of the temperature field over the thickness of a plate subjected to heat flows on either side.
