The problem of the temperature field within an evaporating droplet
Abstract
The temperature field within an evaporating droplet of a solution is analyzed. The size of the droplet is considered to be continually decreasing, and the solute is removed from the surface of the droplet in the course of evaporation. An approximate solution describing the temperature field within the droplet is derived, and a condition for assessing its accuracy in the case where the law governing the motion of the vaporization surface is known is obtained.
