Least squares collocation finite element numerical method for the Navier-Stokes equations
Abstract
By means of the least squares collocation error criterion and the isoparametric element interpolators the two dimensional steady state Navier-Stokes equations describing a viscous flow around a circular cylinder at Reynolds number 40 is analyzed. Numerical results show that the accuracy obtainable by the proposed method is quite satisfactory.
