Electro-optical system for the measurement of radiation characteristics of IR sources
Abstract
The article describes the basic electro-optical characteristics of a system designed to measure and analyze the spatial, temporal, and low resolution spectral distributions of radiating visible and IR sources. The system is composed of three main subsystems: (1) Data acquisition subsystems which utilize five standard and special purpose input cameras; (2) A preprocessor and display subsystem used for preliminary data analysis and selection which contains the interim storage and display facility; and (3) A digital video process subsystem for off line digital computer analysis and an input device for digital data. The subsystems are described, and the calibration and operation of the system are explained.
