Experiment on MHD generator with a large scale superconducting magnet /ETL Mark V/
Abstract
A description of the MHD channel used in the reported experiment is given, taking into account questions of insulation, channel design, electrode installation, and the location of the probes used in the measurements. Attention is given to open voltage distributions, the short circuit current, aspects of potential distribution, the heat flux, the static pressure, the current distribution in the direction of the magnetic field, and the output power characteristics.
