Heat transfer in flows with drag reduction
Abstract
A review is presented of the models which have been proposed to describe both momentum and heat transfer in flows with drag reduction. It is shown that in flows with drag reduction a distinction has to be made between the constant wall temperature and the constant heat flux modes of heat transfer. An analysis is conducted regarding the effect of temperaturedependent fluid properties in the case of two modes of heat transfer. It is found that several effects which so far have been neglected are quite significant in flows with drag reduction
