Working mode of a magnetoplasma compressor. I, II
Abstract
A magnetoplasma compressor is used for the acceleration and compression of plasma fluxes by means of azimuthal magnetic fields. The results of an experimental investigation of the electric and magnetic fields in the interelectrode gap of a compressor are presented. A pinch scheme of plasma flow is then constructed for the compressor in the slowly-changing-flow approximation using a two-fluid nondissipative model.
