Multiquantum absorption in thin superconductor films
Abstract
The paper examines multiquantum absorption in thin superconductor films for the case of diffuse and specular reflection of electrons from the surface, taking account only of the effect of the wave electric field on the electrons. Multiquantum absorption is found to be possible only in the superconducting state, and it is shown that for the case of specular reflection, the probability of nquantum absorption, where n is significantly greater than 1, is determined by the amplitude of electron backscattering on impurities. For the case of diffuse reflection, probability of absorption is expressed in terms of transit time between collisions.
