On coefficient accuracy of two-dimensional digitalfilters
Abstract
An analysis is conducted of the effects produced by a use of a finite word length for the coefficients of two-dimensional recursive digital filters, taking into account fixed-point and floating-point arithmetics. It is found that the actual filter represents a parallel combination of an ideal filter and a stray filter. Aspects of coefficient quantization are considered along with the linear difference equation.
