Finite velocity of propagation of thermal perturbations in media with constant heat conduction coefficient
Abstract
The solution of a parabolic heat equation is considered for media with constant heat conduction coefficient in the presence of volume absorption of heat, nonlinearly dependent on temperature. The solutions are found in the form of temperature waves whose fronts propagate along a null unperturbed background with finite velocity. Conditions for the existence of such solutions are examined.
