On perturbations of hyperbolic motion
Abstract
Perturbations of hyperbolic motion executed by a particle influenced by a third body moving in circular orbit about an attracting center are investigated by a method developed by Burdet (1969) for circular motion. The perturbing function is formulated, and a solution is found for a particle moving in hyperbolic orbit about the attracting center. Fictitious times (of motion in hyperbolic orbit) and Bessel functions of imaginary argument are employed in constructing the differential equations of motion.
