The dual nature of acoustic effect on free turbulent jets
Abstract
A study is made of the influence of sound having various intensities and frequencies on the aerodynamic characteristics of turbulent jets. In particular, the effects on the mean flow velocity, the longitudinal and transverse components of the pulsation velocity, and the turbulence spectrum are investigated.
