Variability of the fields of long-wave radiation in the free atmosphere above the GATE areas
Abstract
Experimental data on vertical profiles of integrated long wave radiation flux were accumulated in order to determine the radiation influx of heat by long wave radiation in various layers of the atmosphere. For this purpose the following goals were proposed: (1) to study the spacial-temporal variability of the fields of long wave radiation in tropical latitudes during different atmospheric conditions; (2) to obtain data on the radiation influx of heat in various layers of the atmosphere due to long wave radiation under different cloud conditions; (3) to study the relation between the long wave radiation of the atmosphere and the effective values of temperature, humidity and cloud cover. This document presents the first stage of the investigation--the collection of the experimental data.
