Pressure drop in air flow across banks of fin tubes with varying tube pitch and fin spacing
Abstract
The importance of considering tube-fin spacing and height in the prediction of air pressure drop in heat exchangers is discussed. Pressure gradients were determined for six tube banks, each with a different pitch and wider spacing than used in previous investigations. Data obtained were used to generate a new correlation for the friction factor.
