Effective non ionospheric propagation of electromagnetic waves at the earth surface
Abstract
An introduction to the real propagation of electromagnetic waves on the surface of the earth precluding ionospheric refraction is presented. The free space propagation is specially discussed together with the propagation in the reflection region, the ground wave propagation, and the propagation with tropospheric diffusion. Finally, problems linked to the obstacles on the propagation path and the ones concerning the variations of the characteristics of the earth's atmosphere are considered.
