Calculation of error probability for systems with circular waveguides
Abstract
The error probability due to intersymbolic and interchannel interface and Gaussian noise was evaluated for a digital communication system using circular waveguides. A calculation, based on the method of Gaussian quadratures, was made for the Italian system, which uses PSK quadriphase modulation and coherent demodulation. The choice of this method was suggested essentially by the simplicity with which it can be adapted to a digital computer processing.
