Investigation and development of the process of evacuating vessels with multilayer-vacuum insulation
Abstract
The interdependence between the fundamental parameters (magnitude of the degassing, pressure, heating temperature, duration of evacuation) which characterize the process of evacuating industrial vessels with multilayer-vacuum insulation was determined. The degassing characteristics of different multilayer-vacuum insulation compositions and of the separate components, as well as of the activated SKT carbon used to absorb the residual gases in the insulation cavity, were determined first as a function of a different initial preparation and operating temperature.
