Wireless control system for a transmitter buried in the earth
Abstract
The design and field testing of a system with which to turn on and off a telemetry transmitter mounted within a buried earth penetrator are described. The system is designed to operate at depths of up to 50 m in soils with a conductivity of up to 100 mS/m.
