Cable Television (CATV). Subjective assessment of the quality grade of a picture impaired by cross-modulation and beat
Abstract
In cable television, using frequency multiplexed channels, the most important impairments on the picture are noise, cross-modulation and beats. The method and the results obtained are described, relevant to an investigation carried out in order to define the signal-to-beat and signal-to-cross-modulation ratios. The same quality grade was provided with respect to a reference picture impaired by white-noise interference.
