Return from orbit (spaceflight problems)
Abstract
Matching descent orbits to the desired landing site rests on a large number of flight factors. Interplay of these factors is described and several graphs show how the time of day and date of the month bear on the launch window and landing orbits that must be brought into harmony for the return of a spacecraft from orbit.
