Victorian students: What happens to them after Higher School Certificate?
Abstract
An overview of results is unnecessary when data is so clearly presented as to be directly interpretable. A summary of results is particularly inappropriate when one’s own interest may influence areas of emphasis and no summary can hope to present a complete description and interpretation of the findings. The fact that the data allow such ready analysis acts as a strong recommendation for the statistical procedure employed. The advantages of THAID therefore are not only related to its ability to identify predictors of most value and consider these in conjunction with up to three other variables but also to present the findings in a meaningful manner.
