The onboard computers of the Helios magnetometer experiments E 2 and E 4
Abstract
Three special purpose computers (TAC, SIC, MVC) are parts of the flight units of the Helios experiments E 2 and E 4. The computer technology is based on the low power TTL logic, a 4 Kbit-core memory and multilayer boards. The structure is strongly influenced by the low power requirement and the real time processing. Significant power saving is accomplished by the truncated serial addition procedure and the design of task orientated structures.
