Systematic drift of an indicator gyrostabilizer during the rotation of a three-degree-of-freedom gyroscope
Abstract
The paper studies the behavior of an indicator gyrostabilizer whose drift is auto-compensated by the forced rotation of the suspension about the axis parallel to the vector of the kinetic moment. It is shown that moments of constant magnitude along the stabilization axes in the presence of viscous friction in the suspension axes cause a systematic drift of the gyrostabilizer.
