Differential cross sections and vector analyzing powers for the 40Ca(d-->,p) reaction are presented as a test of the particle-core coupling model for high-spin positive parity levels at 2.88, 3.20, 3.37, and 3.83 MeV in 41Ca. The data representations by the coupled-channels Born approximation support the model. In contrast, the distorted-wave Born approximation fails completely to represent the analyzing power data for some levels. NUCLEAR REACTIONS 40Ca(d-->,p), E=11.0 MeV; measured σ(θ), A (θ). 41Ca positive-parity levels deduced structure. CCBA analysis, resolution 15 keV, θ=10° to 130° for σ(θ), 10° to 90° for A (θ), Δθ=10°.
