Contribution to the study of nonlinear systems of piecewise linear structure - Application to the study of dc-to-dc converters by a model of continuous type
Abstract
General models are developed for analysis and synthesis of various kinds of circuits of dc-to-dc converters in relation to their dynamic behavior. Converters with and without energy storage are considered, and a classification of converters and modulators is given. These systems are put into equations, and first a discrete analysis of their operation is carried out. Then continuous modeling is considered, where use is made of the fact that the dc-to-dc converters considered can be reduced to a pulsed current generator connected to an output filter. By replacing the pulsed current by a continuous current with the same average value for one sampling period, it is possible to obtain a nonlinear continuous model.
