Multifrequency, computer-aided holographic imaging in the microwave range
Abstract
A systems theory approach is taken to the problem of constructing a multifrequency microwave holography system, with emphasis on the ambiguity function, approximate solutions for the near and far fields, a comparison of single- and multi-frequency techniques, and the holography of moving objects. The computer-aided reconstruction of multifrequency microwave holograms is considered with attention given to digital reconstruction, quantizing effects, and reconstruction by means of the FFT. An experimental study of multifrequency microwave holography is described, the investigation focusing on imaging of point, line and transparent objects and those with rough surfaces.
