The resonance characteristics at the lower hybrid frequency in the range of low collision frequencies
Abstract
An investigation was conducted regarding the interaction between radio waves and a plasma at elevated electronic temperatures, taking into account conditions in the vicinity of the low hybrid-resonance frequency. It could be experimentally shown that even under the considered conditions pronounced resonance characteristics can be observed. The maximum absorption of electromagnetic energy took place at frequencies which are higher than the lower hybrid resonance frequency. The experimental results are compared with theoretical models.
