Measurement and prediction of sound attenuation by highway barriers using acoustic modeling techniques
Abstract
A series of analytical models, using Maekawa's design curve as a basis, have been developed to predict the excess attenuation of single wall and double wall highway barriers of finite and infinite length. These models include the sound propagation paths of the specular ground reflections and the path around the ends of the finite length barrier. A group of digital computer programs have been developed from the model.
