Correction of oblique-beam aberrations in a lens-hologram system
Abstract
One way to increase the visual field of hologram elements is to use conventional glass lenses to correct them. This paper considers the possibility of correcting the monochromatic aberrations of an optical system consisting of a correcting glass lens and an axial hologram lens. The system is analyzed by ray tracing and the image quality criterion is evaluated from a normalized criterion relating the radius of the Airy disk of the diffraction-limited system, the distance from the center of the Gauss sphere to the point at which a given ray intersects the image plane, and the number of rays.
