Tendencies of radar

After a compilation of same desires for future radar systems the main components antennas, generation of transmit power and signal processing are treated separately. Concerning antennas the application of phased arrays seems an interesting future aspect. For the RF power generation in combination with array antennas semiconductor devices are an alternative solution compared to high power tubes. For the signal processing more and more complex methods become realizable by integrated circuits. By this technological tendencies the conception and realization of adaptive multifunction radar systems becomes possible and is treated in the area of research.
