Geothermal heating including group heating in Rotorua
Abstract
Various aspects of the development of heating systems utilizing geothermal hot water from the geothermal field at Rotorua, New Zealand are examined. The harnessing of geothermal heat, heat exchangers, control valves, and the disposal of thermal waters are among the topics discussed. Also considered are district heating, factors influencing geothermal systems (mineral deposits in pipes and corrosion) and economic aspects.
