Observations of three 13C substituted species of cyanoacetylene (HC3N) in Sgr B2
Abstract
Observations of all three C-13 substituted species of HC3N towards Sgr B 2 with a 100 m telescope are reported. The spectrum of the J = 1 to 0 transition is presented for cyanoacetylene in which all three carbon atoms are C-12 atoms and cyanoacetylene which contains a C-13 atom, taking into account H(C-13)CCN, HC(C-13)CN, and HCC(C-13)N. Within the uncertainties related to noise accounts, the C-12/C-13 ratios determined in the case of the last two compounds are consistent with that found by Gardner and Winnewisser (1975). The ratio determined from H(C-13)CCN, however, is certainly lower than that found from the other two species.
