Welcher Stern gleicht der Sonne?
Abstract
Photometric studies of planetary atmospheres are based on differences between the characteristics of the solar radiation received by the planet and the properties of the radiation reflected by it. Approaches are discussed for obtaining information regarding the characteristics of the solar spectrum which are required by these studies, taking into account investigations related to the determination of stars with spectral characteristics which resemble those of the sun. Attention is also given to possibilities for an improvement of the employed procedures. An ideal approach could be based on the use of an artificial earth satellite with known reflection properties.
