Der Röntgen-Crab: Ergebnisse der Beobachtungen von Mondbedeckungen.
Abstract
The pulsar NP 0532 in the center of the Crab Nebula accelerates electrons to extremely high relativistic energies and injects them into the nebula. Observations in the X-ray range make it possible to study these processes. At the present time only the observation of lunar occultations provides an approach to determine the emission structures in the X-ray range with sufficient accuracy. Results obtained in observations made during the most recent occultation period in 1974/75 are listed in a table, taking into account studies conducted with the aid of balloons, rockets, and satellites. The significance of the results is discussed.
