NGC 3783: a possible X-ray emitting Seyfert galaxy.
Abstract
The Leicester Sky Survey Instrument on Ariel V has detected an X-ray source in the vicinity of the Seyfert galaxy NGC 3783. New optical data obtained with the Anglo-Australian Telescope show the 6374-A forbidden line of Fe X and other features indicating an unusually high degree of ionization and supporting the X-ray identification.
