New observations of X-ray clusters of galaxies.
Abstract
Results are presented for Ariel V observations of the X-ray sources 3U 1555+27 and 3U 1639+40. Improved error boxes are obtained for both sources. Abell cluster A2142 is confirmed as a good candidate for the first source, and Abell cluster A2199 is identified as the optical counterpart of the second. Evidence is reported which shows that Abell cluster A2255 (distance 3 and richness 2) is also an X-ray source.
