Orthoscopy of photogrammetric objective lenses
Abstract
Orthoscopy came to age with the transition from cartographic aerial photography (in which heights were not determined by stereophotogrammetric techniques) to large-scale stereophotogrammetric aerial photography. The present book deals with the various image distortions that are encountered in the application of photographic lenses to measurements. The factors leading to distortion in photogrammetric lenses are examined, and methods of measuring distortion and eliminating or minimizing distortion and spherical aberration in optical systems are described.
