Instrumentation for measuring turbulent fluxes of heat and moisture in the atmospheric boundary layer
Abstract
Problems of designing instrumentation for turbulent flux measurements are considered with emphasis on circuit design, selection of basic parameters, and analysis of accuracy. Attention is given to the development of sensors of fluctuations of wind velocity, temperature, and absolute humidity. An automatic system for measuring turbulent fluxes of heat and moisture in the atmospheric boundary layer has been developed. It consists of an anemometer, hygrometer, and thermometer connected to a data processing unit and a digital magnetic tape recording instrument.
