Application of methods for acceleration of convergence to the calculation of singularities of transonic flows
Abstract
A description is given of a procedure for the calculation of limiting lines (envelopes of characteristics), taking into account a power series solution, in which methods for an acceleration of convergence are used. Attention is given to limiting lines of order k, sequences for the calculation of limiting lines, and nonlinear sequence transformations. The described sequences and sequence transformations have been applied to the calculation of limiting lines of first order in the inverse blunt body problem and in the study of nozzle flows.
