On conditions of a reflectionless passage of a shock wave through a medium of jump-like nonhomogeneity
Abstract
A theoretical analysis is presented, with formulation of basic equations, of the collisionless (reflectionless) passage of a plane shock wave through a jump-like inhomogeneity. The study is relevant to such applications as the laser compression of plasma and laser fusion.
