Adaptive receiving system for fading channel
Abstract
The theory and simulation of an adaptive receiver using Kalman filters to suppress intersymbol interference and fading in a multiple continuum are discussed. The latter is the result of electromagnetic energy propagation from the transmitting point to the receiving point via many paths, each having different propagation time. In the actual implementation of the new adaptive receiving technique for fading communications channels, the posteriori probability is computed at each signal input for each impulse response category. Good agreement between theory and computer simulation is established.
