Design and evaluation procedure for active RC filters using band-limited amplifiers
Abstract
A general method of circuit analysis is developed to take into account the frequency characteristics of the active elements in active RC filter design. The transfer function to be produced is assumed to be dual second-order with a high Q; the analysis relates amplifier frequency characteristics to the resonant frequency and Q for the case of an arbitrary circuit configuration. Amplifier effects are studied for a number of circuit configurations, and a design program and experimental results are presented for a high-frequency circuit using the Sallen-Key positive-phase-sequence amplifier.
