Design optimisation of transistor oscillators
Abstract
The optimization of self-excited transistor oscillators is discussed, and an algorithm for the optimization is presented. The algorithm is applied to the design of a Wien oscillator; the effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated by a comparison between the actual and computer-predicted oscillator responses. A performance function is explained, and a calculation of gradient derived.
