Thermal convection waves in a horizontal bounded incompressible layer
Abstract
The propagation of thermalconvection waves of finite amplitude in a horizontal incompressible layer with solid boundaries is analyzed. The influence of the amplitude of the exciting oscillations on the propagation of thermal convective waves is studied by computeraided mathematical modeling techniques. Possible mechanisms of propagation of thermal disturbances are identified for various relations between the amplitude of thermal disturbances at the lateral boundary and the vertical temperature gradient in the layer.
