Signal design for low-error probability in fading dispersive channels
Abstract
The reported investigation attempts to show that a modified version of the signal design method described by Daly (1970) can be used for synthesizing the envelope of FSK signals in fading dispersive channels. Optimality considerations in the investigation are related to the minimization of an upper bound on the error probability per transmitted symbol. Attention is given to the formulation of the problem and the optimization of the signal envelope.
